What a wonderful, authentic place with tons of character! The breakfasts were delicious! And the hosts Karl and Mary are great and we loved hearing all kinds of stories. Beautiful acreage and giant oak trees throughout. Deer and turkeys come right up to the property. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. Will definitely be back to stay with them again!

Karl and Mary were the perfect hosts. We instantly felt comfortable in Linda's Room with plenty of room to spread out and relax. Large dog friendly property and the most delicious breakfast made The Strawberry Farm our perfect place to explore the area from. Thank you, Karl and Mary!

I can't say enough good things about Strawberry Farm Bed & Breakfast! Every time we return to Muscatine we stay there. A view of the classic red brick house, nestled among a dozen ancient and leafy oak trees, greets you as you approach. So far we've stayed in the Rose room at the front of the main house, and the Linda Room, in the converted barn side of the building. The rooms are well-appointed and clean, with charming antique furnishings and decorations, and everything we needed for a multi-day stay. Karl and Mary, the hosts, cooked up excellent breakfasts, which were a great way to start the day. My favorites were the scones, the cinnamon French toast bites, and scrambled eggs with ham. We enjoyed chatting with the hosts at breakfast, and in the evenings out on the enclosed porch when we returned to the B&B for the night. We're looking forward to returning again!

We absolutely had an amazing stay here! You pull into a winding driveway to see your first glimpse of a beautiful historic two story brick home and off to the left side is an historic brick barn. 1st impressions were wonderful. Upon entering the foyer it just felt inviting and comfortable. We were greeted by our host who gave us some brief information then showed us to our room in the second level. The room was quite comfortable and fit the decor of the home. We settled in then inquired about a place to get dinner. She also told us to me sure we stop to see the Norbert Beckey lighted bridge. Next morning we were greeted with a wonderful breakfast on the screened in porch consisting of quiche or blueberry pancakes, scones, cinnamon pastries, fresh fruit, orange juice and coffee. Wow it was excellent and you do not go away hungry. Sat around talking to both our hosts for a good hour over coffee. Total fun and enjoyable experience. Highly recommended!

This house is amazing and the hosts are great conversationalists and guides. The house is full of antiques but very comfortable and full of every amenity you could ever need. The beds are very comfortable and the televisions have every channel. It is like living in an authentic museum and the restorations and decor are unmatched. The grounds are very large and there is a very friendly dog that will guide you around or sit on the enclosed porch swing with you. Breakfast is made to order (anything you want cooked professionally) and fabulous with a grand selection of teas and coffees. There is also an amazing antique store on site which is super reasonably priced and full of things you could never find elsewhere. We would take another vacation to Iowa just to come to this place.

The house is in a nice location, the breakfast was wonderful, Mary is a charming host, but the place needs a good cleaning! We shared a bathroom (but we were the only ones in the house),and when we checked in there was a sink/counter full of tiny hairs, like someone had emptied their electric razor in the sink. There is a lovely gazebo in the backyard, but when we made our way out there, there was grass clippings all over the patio, the furniture was dusty/dirty and covered in bird poop. Not inviting at all. Also, there are no locks on the bedroom or the bathroom doors.

My Mom and I were visiting family in Muscatine and had the pleasure of staying at Strawberry Farm. We stayed in Linda’s room which was large, comfortable and had a nice adjoining bathroom. The property is authentic and well kept. Karl was very attentive and helpful. We were heading to Chicago to see Hamilton and he even gave us great recommendations for restaurants there. By far, the highlight of our stay was breakfast. He made a delicious breakfast casserole, fresh fruit, raspberry scones, juice and a strong cup of coffee, all served on vintage china. We will definitely visit again.

My wife and I arrived after supper on the road. Our host Carl gave us a choice of rooms since we were the only guests that Sunday night. Once we settled in we were invited to have dessert and meet local friends. It was a congenial gathering with some amusing local tales recounted. The Victorian house is charming and decorated in period furniture and decorations. Accommodations were comfortable (it's the first time I slept on a canopied bed), there were plenty of electrical outlets, and there was good air conditioning. The bathroom with our room had a standalone tub with a shower. We filled out a breakfast order form on our arrival and had a fine meal the next morning. Our host Carl was congenial and outgoing and we had some pleasant conversations. A memorable stay, which we would like to repeat someday.
