Sehr empfehlenswert!

Hotel Peter Paul was one of the most exquisite stays I have ever experienced! The hotel itself is gorgeous and rich in history, each room unique and decorated thoughtfully and meticulously. The hand-painted tile walk-in showers had incredible water pressure and despite the bounty that New Orleans offered, I looked forward each night to getting into the giant four-poster bed for another deep sleep. But above all else (and there is so much to rave about this hotel!) the staff at Hotel Peter Paul made our stay unforgettable. Every single person we engaged with at the hotel was genuinely kind and helpful and we have never felt so well cared for! From the people at the front desk to the gift shop owner and the lovely head of security who gave us a tour of the chapel, each person had love for New Orleans and was friendly and knowledgeable. This is absolutely one for the books and I could not recommend this hotel more. And don’t forget to visit the gift shop! It has a fabulous collection of beautiful and aromatic gifts, including the lotion from the hotel. I couldn’t help but buy myself a bottle and now I get to relive my stay every day. Thank you Hotel Peter Paul for an unbelievable time!

I never write reviews for anything, but this hotel was so amazing! I had to share! My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a last minute vacation. Our stay was incredible! The service was exceptional! Our needs were accommodated beyond our expectations. The room was so comfortable and beautifully decorated. I absolutely loved the attention to detail. I also appreciated the religious decor, staying true to the history of this marvelous location. And I have no idea how, but the whole building always smelled amazing, including the room. The amenities that they provide: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, cream, etc. all smelled amazing too! I will be dreaming of that smell for a long time. I loved coming back after a hot sunny day in New Orleans to this beautiful place that started to feel like a home!

Incredibly gorgeous and charming hotel. Great location for being slightly tucked away but within walking distance of lots of places. One of my favourite hotels I've stayed in so far for its decor.
A slightly warmer and attentive welcome at reception would've made a big difference ?

Beautiful hotel that really exceeded my expectations with ambiance and hospitality. We stayed in the second floor of the school house, and it was cute and quaint. I absolutely swooned over the shower and other small details around the property.

Highly recommend doing the self guided tour in and around the property; it brings the space more to life. Victor, who helps preserve and restore the buildings, gave us a brief tour of the Church and pointed out other facts about the space. (He saw us outside viewing the church and offered to show us inside ?)

I loved staying here for a friend’s vow renewal in the attached church. The hotel is well themed, comfortable, and in a perfect spot - it’s /just/ outside the chaos of the touristy areas, but close enough that you safely walk to them. I was incredibly happy with my vibey stay here. If you can stop into the church, as well, I highly recommend it - it’s beautiful! I did have sort of a mid experience at the restaurant (waited an obscenely long time for the check), but I went between mealtimes, so I would be willing to give them another chance.

I was excited to stay here and planning a positive review. But a few things in particular have led me to unfortunately have to affirm this is barely a 3 Star experience. ||First and foremost YOU NEED TO TRAIN YOUR FRONT DESK STAFF. I've experienced more hospitality at an airport Best Western. ||I was better trained working retail and in restaurants part-time than these people were. You walk in to check-in with no greeting. The staff stares at you dead-eyed. No smile. No hello. This continued the entire stay - while the cleaning staff and restaurant staff were wonderful (truly, they're great), it seems management has not even discussed the basics of hospitality with the front desk staff who, ironically, are the direct point of contact for guests. We did not receive a single "good morning" or "hello," just silence. Two staff members in particular behaved as if we were greatly inconveniencing them by checking in or asking for recommendations nearby (we were tossed a pamphlet with restaurants on it, no personal touch whatsoever). This continued throughout our entire stay - not a smile, not a greeting, not an inquiry into how our stay was going. Even more alarming was that when we brought this up to the rest of the staff - they all agreed with us and told us to complain! I'm sure they are losing out on tips due to the obscene lack of hospitality at the front desk. ||Let's get to the hotel itself- it's nice, and the interior design is stunning, but it's not worth the money. One main building is separated by a very ugly driveway from the restaurant and Church venue. In this brick driveway they had often set up wedding events with cheap plastic chairs. When there was no event, there is zero seating. The only common space is indoors on the 3rd floor, where there is no service, not even a functioning water station. In addition to this, there's no room service which is strange considering there's a restaurant on the property - not even a limited menu is offered, you can't even order a Coke. ||On to the restaurant - it's the only reason to stay here. The food is phenomenal, the staff warm and welcoming, the space serene. It makes me wonder if it is under different management altogether. My recommendation - visit New Orleans and make The Elysian Bar a must-visit spot on your itinerary, but don't stay here. ||TLDR: it's all style, no substance at Hotel Peter and Paul. They seem to have forgotten that a good hotel is all about a warm and welcoming hospitality experience. The front desk staff is in desperate need of training.
