We have been Banfield customers in three different cities for more than 20 years after our vet at the time moved to Banfield. Once he retired, we stayed with Banfield, but were concerned that there was a constant rotation of vets where our pets were never seen by the same vet twice.
During the pandemic, Banfield changed to a policy where you drop off your pet and pick her up later, with no opportunity to talk to the vet. The policy remained the same after the pandemic was over. We get more personal service taking our cars in for an oil change.
This came to a head on Monday. One of our dogs passed a couple of weeks ago (two weeks after receiving a clean bill of health from Banfield). We made an appointment for our new puppies 9 days in advance before we brought them home, but when we turned up with the puppies, Banfield had no record of the appointment. We had a 72 hour deadline to have the puppies seen after the purchase, so we had to find a different vet immediately.
What a change! We were able to get a same day appointment with a vet who owns her own practice and let us stay with the puppies in the exam room. Both the assistant and vet interacted with us through the whole examination and were friendly, thorough and professional.
Goodbye Banfield. You successfully lost a long term customer.

I had my kitten Kalypso scheduled for a spay surgery at the Creedmor location, but sadly their doctor had an emergency and couldn’t make it in. Brier Creek was able to still get my baby the surgery she needed and gave me an excellent rundown of at home care before picking her up. At drop off, they also were very thorough on asking me what all I wanted done for her, including microchipping! (So important!) Special shoutout to Dr. Luts, Zach, Tas, Sofia, Austin, and Sarah.

We like the care that our AJ received his 1st time here to receive his vaccination. Staff were very polite and handled our pup ? with care. We also received a follow-up call the next day to make sure that he was doing ok. I am happy that we chose the Wellness Plan because it saves us money over the long run. We are looking forward to our next visit.

I am beyond disgusted with banfield. I brought my 15 year old dog in for a check up this past week for a check up. They told us his liver enzymes were high but didn't give us any direction on what that means and acted like it was normal and they gave us liver medicine to help regulate his liver. We gave it to him the next morning and he got sick from it so we took him back in to see what happened. We had to pull it out of them to actually tell us what's wrong with him because they wouldn't tell us straight up what was going on. We then found out that he's had liver disease for YEARS and they are just now telling us and that now he has renal failure and we're telling us he wasn't gonna get better and that we should put him down. We took him home because the whole situation was suspicious. The next day he was back to normal and acting like a very healthy dog. Banfield vets if they don't bring in enough money they have to pay back banfield out of there pocket. That's why they push so much for extra procedures! We then took my dog to a REAL vetinarian and showed them his blood work results. This educated vet told us that he does NOT have renal failure and they doubt he has liver disease. So basically banfield was trying to KILL MY DOG FOR NO REASON! The real vet said how his blood work actually looks very healthy. They said his liver enzymes are high but that that doesn't mean he has liver disease. I was baffled at how incompetent and uneducated banfield vetinarians are. I'm so glad that we didn't trust our animals doctors because if we did we would have put down a dog that we have loved for 15 years for no reason!!!! If you bring your dog to banfield then you have a death wish for your dog and clearly don't care about your animals wellbeing! Petfolk animal hospital is the place to go to get educated care for your animal! The vets at banfield need to go back to school! They will probably try to respond to this to apologize for the confusion and how it wasn't their fault but there is no confusion at all! DONT GO HERE! (I went to the brier creek location but they all SUCK!)

I am not one to leave negative reviews but I am just entirely disappointed with the Banfield at Brier Creek.

I took my kitten for his first appointment and they have drop off appointments only. This would’ve been fine if I was granted the opportunity to speak with the Vet or Vet Tech, even if over the phone, to prevent miscommunication. My cat had previously been vaccinated for rabies before adoption. I left paperwork that documented both the vaccination and his neuter. When I got my end of visit call from the doctor, she told me he’s “gotten his rabies vaccine this visit” and when I told her he’d already been vaccinated and I’d informed Banfield she replied “oh… well that wasn’t recorded anywhere, be fine!”. She then asked if I’ve had him neutered. Again, this information was given via paperwork and verbally at registration. To end the call, she said “he did great” and I would need a three week follow up. The front desk then checked me out and wished me well, without scheduling my next appointment until I prompted that the Vet said I needed a follow up.

I then take him home and realize they have his collar and paperwork (which included his rabies tag). I called the following morning and they apologized and offered a new tag because they don’t know where the paperwork is.

I’ve been going to Banfield for years at a different location and have never had such carelessness/miscommunication from a provider. I will drive the extra 25 minutes to go back to the location I have been visiting.

WARNING!!! Don’t ever go to this Banfield. Not only will you get terrible customer service, prepare to wait 3+ hours for routine preventative care. I dropped off my dog at 2:30 (which was his appointment time). I was then told it would be about an hour for his 3 shots and a quick checkup. I went home, came back at 4 and waited for a half an hour only to be told they had no estimated time for when he’d be done. After calling the office I was on hold for another 15 minutes and was never called back. They wouldn’t take payment over the phone. Horrible service, horrible cost, and horrible experience. Don’t visit! A total waste of 250 dollars for a routine checkup.

Take the drive somewhere else. Terrible service, long waits, no communication sucks. Went in for a 2:30pm express appointment for a cytopoint shot and the doctor went on an hour lunch break at 2pm. No communication was at all until i check in at 2:20pm. Was told to either wait 40 mins or reschedule..
